Hey Shawn,
Saw you in Piedmont Local (or is it Local Piedmont?). Congrats on the award. Looking forward to seeing what you concoct! Cheers, Nancy
Does Fullsteam have merchandise (spec. teeshirts) yet?
Lisa –
Funny you should inquire! We’re printing Hogwash shirts today! They’re for the Wilson barbecue festival. we’ll probably have some left over, and I’ll post about that soon. There’s going to be something fun about the Hogwash shirts!!!!
Fullsteam shirts coming soon, too!
Hey guys, just doing some beer surfing today and came across ya’ll’s website. I love the concept and the passion that’s going into your brewery. I am aspiring to open my own brewery in my hometown in Tennessee in the next 4 years and it’s things like this that inspire me even more. Good luck with everything and I hope to try some Fullsteam very soon!
Saw your article in the N&O
If you reject tea because it is from China and not southern, you should really do some research to see where kudzu came from……China
Hi Stuart – good point. We are indeed familiar with the origins of kudzu. What appeals to me about kudzu is the opportunity to redeem the invasive species…to do some good with the scourge of the south.
For the record, I don’t dislike sweet tea. I rather like it! (I think that intro was written for a bit of dramatic effect.) The point I was trying to convey is that Southern beverage shouldn’t be universally defined and predestined as one drink. There’s a world of Southern flavor…beyond sweet tea.
Cheers!
Sean
just wondering if you’re keeping an email list so you can let us all know of events and esp the GRAND OPENING!!!
is there a facebook page? shouldn’t there be one?
didn’t even hear of Fullsteam until Sat when I met Sean at the kids’ cooking class at the farmer’s market…but now am eagerly anticipating… good luck!
Stacy,
Great to meet you. Newsletter and Facebook links are on the home page. I’ll sign you up for the news; our Facebook page is http://facebook.com/fullsteambrewery
Drove by this evening very excited to check out the new place. Unfortunately did not make it in because there was no parking. The option to park on the street is a little sketchy since it’s not well-lit. Are you guys going to provide more parking or at least more lighting?
You can park across the street in the lot of the future Motorco, where we share around 100 parking spots. Street parking available too.
do you guys give tours of the brewing area?
Dave,
We don’t currently offer tours, but that’s something we may be able to start doing here shortly. Stay tuned, and thanks for asking!
Sean
Hey guys,
Thought you might like to know my blog made a great version of Biscuits and Gravy using your Hogwash Hickory Smoked Porter. If you’d like to check it out, you can read the post below.

What’s your open mic night like? What styles of music does the audience like?
We are a local band that plays old-time, bluegrass, folk, and traditional county music. Great harmonies. Would we fit in there?
Thanks.
Wonder if you could brew a porter from cabbage? – You could call it “Cole Porter”. Might be worth a try just for the name
Have been trying to get the link provided to sign up for the Tour for Orange/Durham County Carolina Club June 12th however it indicates the page doesnt exist when I utilize the link provided. Would love to RSVP for two.
I saw your Hogwash in the latest issue of Food & Wine and now I must try it! Any chance it will make its way to California???
Have you guys considered a mulberry beer? Those too are rotting on the ground about now.
I love what you do.
Greetings Mr. Sean, Mr. Chris and Mr. Brooks:
I wanted to send this note in hopes that it might land in whatever form of a “Suggestion Box” that you might have lying around.
My wife was recently diagnosed as having gluten intolerance. Of course what this means is that things like Fullsteam beer and Piepushers pizza are now off limits. Since your brewery has a robust R&D department, I wanted to humbly suggest that a gluten-free brew might prove to be a noble (and profitable) undertaking worthy of your R&D team’s time and effort.
I also wanted to offer this link to craftbeer.com which provides a little more info about gluten-free beers.

Thanks, guys! See you at the brewery soon!
Regards,
Jeremy
I was at the Wildgoose festival last week and thoroughly enjoyed the Wildgoose Brew you created. I also appreciated the customer service from Dave and all those who waited on us. You made the event all the more special so I commend your beer to anyone – and oh How I wish I lived in NC. I look forward to next years festival and hope you will be there! Suzanne
I read about Wanderlust in the Asheville paper and wanted to know if it will distributed in the Brevard area, and if so, where?
Peter – per Tony’s article, we only have four kegs…all of them here at our tavern in Durham. Look for a bourbon-barrel-aged version (sans cherry) later this fall, which will have wider distribution. (In other words, we’ll make sure Bruisin’ Ales gets some if they want it!)
Cheers!
A co-worker of mine said that you do tours and beer tasting. How do I reserve a spot?
Hi, Do you have a non-alcoholic brew? It would be fun to invite my son’s Cross Country team to the Ales for Rail-Trails event. Thanks.
Adrienne – visit http://tourfullsteam.eventbrite.com. Cheers!
We have Abita Root Beer on tap, Boylan’s sodas, Pepsi stuff, Cheerwine and lemonade…but no non-alcoholic brew.
We carry a large selection of craft brews and imports and we have had customer requests for your beers…
