Pick up a growler

COMING TO OUR TAVERN?

We sell growlers at Fullsteam R&D during tavern hours, seven days a week. However, we may not have all beer available and in-stock. Check with us first if you’re seeking a specific beer.

Two nearby stores tend to always have our growlers in-stock:

Half-gallon growlers are $10 plus a $4 refundable deposit on the glass.

GOING TO THE DURHAM FARMER’S MARKET?

We often make it to the Durham Farmer’s Market, selling at the Wednesday PM and Saturday AM markets whenever we can. Get there early for the best selection!

    4. Jill -

Did you snag a look at the form for Saturday? It helps us tally.

    6. Local craft beer at the Farmer’s Market? Brilliant! I wish this could be done in Texas, but I think we would need a law change first. I hope this idea catches on. Best of luck!

    7. When will the request form for Saturday, 9/4 go live? Or are growlers available at R&D? I’d like two of the Summer Basil but won’t be able to make the market on Wednesday… (sadface)

    8. It’s live now! whoot!

    9. LOVE your Beer. Is there are request form for picking up in house? I need some beer coming soon, but can’t pick them up at the market. Thanks!

    10. Thank you!

You’re welcome to get a growler during business hours before 7pm. So that’d be Wednesday through Friday, 4 to 7, and noon to 7 on the weekends.

Look for us at Sam’s quick Stop in Durham and all three Weaver Street Markets within the next several weeks.

    11. Have you sold out for the Wednesday farmer’s market requests? Was hoping to place an order before what I believed to be a midnight deadline. Thanks.

    12. We’ll have some Wednesday growlers available for pick-up…I’ll also write you and add your RSVP to the list. You’re right…it’s been a midnight deadline, but I disabled the form a few hours early to go to an event. We’ll hook you up, Jared!

    13. Can’t wait to try your beers! I already have numerous growlers, do I need to buy a Fullsteam growler or can I have one of my own filled up?

    14. Michael,

I’m late to the game with a response, but by NC law, all growlers must be in the “original manufacturer’s container.”

    15. Can we pre-order growlers for pick-up at this Saturday’s (Nov 20) farmers market? Thanks.

    16. whoops — I’ll make that link live right away.

    17. I’d love to pick one of these up but I can never make it to the market. Can I just stop by the tavern on Wednesday and grab one or do I need to preorder them?

    18. JohnB – we almost always have growlers in-stock at Fullsteam. However, this week we are still delayed due to the blizzard in the Midwest. Call the brewery on Wednesday (919-682-2337) to see if the beer you want is in-stock. Cheers and thanks!

    19. Hi there! At the top of the “pick up a growler page” it says pick one up Wed.-Sun. (the days we’re open) but your hours say Monday-Sun. So can I get a growler any day of the week? Can’t wait to visit the tavern!

    20. Oof, that was some oolllllllddddd content! Sorry about that! I’ve updated the page to indicate that we’re now open seven days a week….but we don’t always have our beer available in growlers. Check with us first (919-682-2337) to make sure we have a specific beer in-stock. Cheers!

    21. Thanks! One more question: Do I have to buy your growler out will you refill mine (with another beer’s brand on it)? Thanks again!

    22. oops – apologies…I just saw your comment, dimwitdoc.

If you bring in another brewery’s growler, we have to “deface it” before we can fill it up and sell it to you. For us that means we put a large Fullsteam sticker over any existing branding to make it clear it’s now full of our beer.

This is a new NCABC rule that actually allows NC breweries to do this, so many breweries are learning what you can and can’t do.

    23. Works for me! Thanks again.
