A tax increase? As we’re trying to launch our business?
The North Carolina legislature is still considering an increase in beer taxes to make up for a revenue shortfall.
Even though we already have the fifth-highest beer tax in the nation.
So, like I said on our Facebook page (hey, be a fan! AFTER you fill out the form!)…
Raising beer taxes hurts Fullsteam’s chances of being a successful, thriving venture. Wouldn’t the legislature rather us be a 300-person brewery in ten years than out of business in one or two?

Returning to this posting: the NC legislature has approved a budget, which includes a 5 cent per six-pack tax increase on beer. That’s manageable — much better than some of the proposals out there.
