8pm! Never-before-seen 1995 “How To” Internet video!

Today (Thursday) is awesome! In addition to our 9pm Celebrity* Trivia, we have an exciting pre-trivia movie feature!
Our Trivia Celebrity is Margo Knight Metzger, who leads PR for The North Carolina Commerce Department’s Division of Tourism. She’ll be asking tough-but-fair questions about North Carolina travel. BUT…she’s also bringing a Very Special Video that she’s been holding on to for some time: the 60-minute “Discovering the Internet,” circa 1995.

If you look carefully, you can see the shrink-wrap!
Check it out: this sixteen-year-old video cassette has NEVER BEEN UNWRAPPED. Tomorrow, those attending will witness history in the making. We will unwrap this VHS tape and snicker at things like “URL” pronounced “YURIL.” Ha! That’s funny! If you’re lucky, you might even see Netscape!
Never before has a sixteen-year-old video about the Internet been unwrapped and premiered at a brewery before a trivia night. It’s rather like the final Shuttle launch.
Come to Fullsteam at 8pm for the premiere of “Discovering the Internet: A video to help unearth the mysteries of the Internet.” Stay for trivia, with a special round on North Carolina tourism.
