Fullsteam celebrates NC Beer Month!

We’re taking this whole “Inaugural NC Beer Month” thing pretty seriously ’round these parts. We’ll keep this post updated with the latest and greatest activities during the month of April…and maybe a few days before and after April.

THURSDAY, MARCH 28th Kick-off to NC Beer Month with Lucky 32 in Greensboro, featuring Chef Jay Pierce and special guests Matt & Ted Lee (SOLD OUT)

While the 6:30pm dinner is sold out, you can come an hour early and hang out with the Lee Brothers, buy their book, and get their autographs! THE LEE BROS. CHARLESTON KITCHEN is Matt & Ted Lee’s story of how growing up and living in Charleston, South Carolina made them the award-winning cookbook writers they are today. For those of you who RSVPed, I will see you there!

MONDAY, APRIL 1 and TUESDAY, APRIL 2 Omakase beer dinner with Sono in Raleigh

Chef Michael of Sono Raleigh is putting the finishing touches on an amazing feast, complete with an amazing range of Fullsteam beer. We’ll update this page with the menu and beer pairings, as well as information on how to RSVP. You don’t want to miss this. Thankfully, you’ve got two days to choose from.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3 Durham CollaBEERation released!

The three Durham breweries: Triangle, Bull City Burger & Brewery, and Fullsteam all contributed grain and hops to brew Trinity Ale, a collaborative beer brewed specifically for NC Beer Month. Learn more here! We only have three kegs of this beer, so get it while you can!

SATURDAY, APRIL 6 Debut of craft beer at the Western Wake Farmer’s Market

We are thrilled to kick off the Western Wake Farmer’s Market summer selling season with beer! Join us as we sell beer for the first time at the Western Wake market. We’ll sell our usual growlers and debut our Bourbon Barrel-Aged Working Man’s Lunch in 22oz. bombers.

BBA WML will also be available at the Durham Farmer’s Market. That’s right! We’re now selling at two area farmer’s markets!

SATURDAY, APRIL 7 Cackalacky™ Night at Broad Street Cafe!

All night, Broad Street Cafe is featuring several awesome, new, permanent Cackalacky-inspired menu items, including Cackalacky BBQ Chicken Pizza and Cackalacky Wings.

What’s the beer connection? Broad Street will be pouring Fullsteam’s new ginger pale ale, Cack-A-Lacky™ (yes, we’re spelling our version differently…stay tuned as to why)! This hoppy, zippy pale ale rarely makes it out of the Fullsteam tavern!

SUNDAY, APRIL 8 Debut of the Weathervane Beer Garden with our co-conspirators, Cackalacky!

Join us in celebration of Cackalacky’s 12th anniversary and the return of spring weather on April 7 from 4-7pm at Weathervane’s first ever Sunday Beer Garden! The rain-or-shine event will be held at the Weathervane’s lovely patio and features live music by Big Fat Gap and the Rickety Crickets.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20
Hickory Hops

It’s our first-ever appearance at Hickory Hops, one of the state’s best beer festivals (heck, one of the South’s best festivals, period!). With a focus on North Carolina and independent beer, Hickory Hops is a welcoming, fun festival with lots of unusual and rare offerings. Look for the debut of Liborius Gollhardt, our sour mash rhubarb beer!

Guess what? We might add even more events to this list! Check back often, and be sure to visit the main NC Beer Month website for all the goings-on of our brewery partners and friends! Many thanks to Margo and Win for spearheading the first-ever NC Beer Month!
