Astronomy on Tap features accessible, engaging science presentations from real astronomers on topics ranging from stars and planets to black holes and the beginning of the Universe. In addition to talks, each event has trivia and plenty of time to interact with the presenters and other astronomers in the audience.
AoT is always free, though we encourage attendees to support Fullsteam before or after the event!
MEET OCTOBER'S SPEAKER: DR. RACHEL SMITH
At our October AoT event, we’re journeying through the universe searching for life beyond 🌎🌎 , with Dr. Rachel Smith.
Rachel is an observational astronomer interested in how our solar system and other planetary systems form and evolve over time. She oversees the visual content of the Astronomy & Astrophysics Research Lab @naturalsciences while also being a professor at @appstate.
She is also responsible for curating the Museum’s meteorite collection and is currently expanding the collection, examining meteorites, and exploring other visualization tools.
