It is our (10th) birthday

Tavern Events

It's not the grand celebration we envisioned when we first opened our doors to the public on August 13, 2010. Maybe you were with us, one of the crowd spilling into the back of the house, filling every inch of space and onto the lawn of JR Auto Repair that inaugural day. If we tried to imagine the sort of event we might have ten years down the road...let's just say, we didn't think "pandemic" or "social distancing" would factor into things.

Join us to quietly and safely recognize ten years of Fullsteam (and 15 years since the lifting of the 6% alcohol cap on beer in North Carolina). While we're not planning a big celebration, we will have a few rarities on tap:

  • The very last sixtel of Red Wine Barrel-Aged Ava, our 2019 Good Food Award-winning collaboration with Scratch Brewing Company.
  • 2018 Rhum Barrel-Aged Brumley Forest, a Baltic Porter brewed with foraged black walnuts sourced from, you guessed it, Triangle Land Conservancy's Brumley Forest. (The base Brumley Forest is a another 2018 Good Food Award winner!)
  • A lovely and complex Black Sour Saison
  • UV-75, a tart sour inspired by the French 75 cocktail drink, brewed with lemon and juniper

Come anytime Thursday noon to 10pm -- the earlier the better on Barrel-Aged Ava, which will likely be the first beer to kick. Grab some food and hang out in our socially distanced tavern and outdoors. Can't visit us Thursday? The beers should stretch a bit, so come visit us on the weekend!. We'll keep our tap list current on our website. And we absolutely promise: we'll save the big celebration for year 11. We miss unfettered celebrations. But safety comes first.
