Bill Oakley Presents: An American Culinary Curiosity Dinner

Get ready for a night of unforgettable dishes at An American Culinary Curiosity Dinner with the one and only Bill Oakley, in collaboration with celebrated Durham chef Phoebe Lawless!

Known for his Emmy Award-winning writing for “The Simpsons”, “Portlandia”, “Futurama”, and “Mission Hill”, Bill is coming to Fullsteam on Monday, September 14 to share amusing anecdotes and culinary commentary about the world of unusual American foods.

This event explores regional American dishes—delicacies that are hard to find outside their hometowns and are rarely, if ever, served in Durham. Featuring expertly crafted dishes inspired by Bill’s travels and prepared by renowned chef Phoebe Lawless, this dinner promises to delight your palate with bold, quirky, and iconic tastes of American cuisine. Bill will host the dinner and provide a multimedia experience/slideshow offering a deep dive into the weird world of regional food.

Your meal will consist of seven surprise courses, large and small, including dessert. Gratuity is included in the ticket price. (IMPORTANT: Due to the unusual nature of this meal, we cannot accommodate special orders or food allergies!)
