Fullsteam Brewery welcomes Sayaka Selina, the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle's guest soloist, for a one hour cello recital with piano accompaniment.
Sayaka Selina is Swiss-Japanese and is one of the most promising young cellists in the world--she will be joining us all the way from Berlin to serenade us with various pieces on her 1783 Onorato Gragnani cello.
Sayaka is a frequent soloist with orchestras in Switzerland, such as the Zurich- and Basel Chamber Orchestras, the Zurich Camerata, and the New Zurich Orchestra. Her latest projects included Boccherinis Concerto in B major with the Camerata Zuric, as well as the premiere of a piece for violin, cello and string orchestra, written by Thomas Demenga.
Sayaka has been awarded numerous prizes at national and international competitions such as the “Antonio Janigro” International Competition in Croatia, the Domenico Gabrielli Competition in Berlin, and ,most recently, the “Viva Hall” Cello Competition in Japan.
