Red Friday is our effort to redefine a holiday that's worn out its welcome. Is Black Friday even a thing anymore?
Instead of loading up on stuff you’ll regret come spring cleaning, bring some much-needed classroom supplies to Fullsteam the day after Thanksgiving to support our local teachers.
Why red? The Red for Ed movement advocates for improved funding for public education and better wages for teachers. The color represents solidarity, hope, and -- well -- the fact that many underfunded public schools are literally in the red.
Teachers shouldn't have to spend hundreds of dollars of their own money to stock their classrooms throughout the school year. They shouldn't have to pay a dime.
So what can you do to help? Come to Fullsteam on Red Friday. Wear red. Bring classroom supplies to help our teachers -- we've provided a list of much-needed items below.
If you bring in new supplies, we'll treat you to a day membership in our Scythe and Sparrow club (20oz pours! 20% off merch and beer to go!)
And since this event is all about honoring our educators, all teachers get the same perk.
We’ve provided a list of supplies below for reference. Even just one eraser can lighten the load. Every donation counts. (Unless it’s broken chalk. Don’t bring that.)
