Charleston-grown tea infused with bergamot lends herb and spice, while lavender from Lavender Oaks Farm (Chapel Hill, N.C.) adds bright floral notes. Fusing these flavors into a soft, subtle confection: cocoa nibs from our friends at Videri (Raleigh, N.C.). Their name, pulled from North Carolina’s state motto, Esse Quam Videri, fits this porter and our own mission to a tee: To be, rather than to seem.
