Hardy Bois (collab with Steel String)

Hazy IPA

Juicy

A collaboration with Steel String Brewery in Carrboro, N.C.

This juicy IPA is super local with both base grain and foraged Trifoliate (Hardy) oranges, an invasive plant with super duper thorny branches. Steel String has a new farm, Pluck Farm, at the border of Orange and Alamance County -- the land is full of this fruit in fall.

In late October, we met with the cool cats at Steel String and foraged together, collecting nearly 100 pounds of this perfumey, unusual fruit. The pithy goodness works well with beer's modern hop profile -- particularly those Julius hops.
