Ah, the location. Source of many challenges, meetings, phone calls, and clicks on the Durham GIS. We have a zone in mind, but not an exact location. We believe we're close to securing a space.
The Central Park district of Durham is where we expect to land and where we want to be: a region of Durham that's affordable (sorta), walkable from downtown, and near a number of the city's historic neighborhoods. We're looking at its northern end, up the road from the amazing Piedmont and the ever-expanding Durham Farmer's Market. Near the Manbites Dog Theater.
Central Park is also developing into an artisan hub for Durham. Not that there's tons of activity in this area...there's not...but there's a sense of great things to come. We hope to be one of them!
